Below is some basic information though I am sure you will have lots of questions to ask. Please call me any time and I will be happy to answer your queries....

What is it?
It is a training programme which runs over 3 consecutive days. The duration of each day is between 3 and 4 hours.

How does it work for M.E / C.F.S / Post Viral Fatigue / Fibromyalgia?
Many people ask how is it possible for the Lightning Process training programme to help you influence your body’s health when you have these health issues. The body’s Physical Emergency Response holds the key.
Physical Emergency Response (PER)
Whenever the body senses a threat, for example;
Breaking a leg
Eating ‘bad’ food
Emotional shock
It produces the PER to find a way to recover or stay safe. It does this by switching on the:
 Sympathetic Nervous System
Production of the powerful hormones adrenaline, noradrenaline, dopamine, cortisol and DHEA
This is exactly what needs to happen to help us deal with the threat, affecting our muscles and nervous system. The problem comes when we keep on switching this system on, because this leads to problems with the way our immune system works (which is the system for healing the body) and changes the way our nerve cells work.
What is covered on the course?
You will be comprehensively taught :-
1. About the PER and what happens if it is constantly switched on.
2. How to recognise when the PER is occuring.
3. How to calm the PER through specific steps using movement, posture and coaching. These steps are gentle (not vigorous or physically demanding) and can be tailored to meet the capabilities of even the most debilitated clients.
4. How to make this change to your physiology permanent by practising the steps so that they become automatice, leading to health and well-being.
How does it work for anxiety, stress, depression?
Anxiety and stress are such common factors in so many peoples' lives and with the prevalence of anxiety and depressive disorders in patients who frequently attend general practice being between 40% and 60% (Neal RD, 1998) (Baez K, 1998) (McFarland BH, 1985), and in the National Office of Statistics report of 2000. The Lightning Process approaches these issues by recognising that there needs to be a change in how your body is working, and how you are responding to things in order to get back to how you were before the anxiety struck. Using tools based on the theories of the way the brain and body interacts and an understanding of the complex hormonal response our body has to stress, the Lightning Process teaches you how to start to make sense of what has happened and how to start to get yourself out of that spiral of stress.
